Our Past
UNPROMOTED SOUNDS emerged humbly from the shadow of a previous record label-type organization founded by yourman3VAN (at the time operating under the moniker of “Vaboolal”), named EV3 Music Group. While EV3 was built in 2017 to act as the legal vehicle to propel the music of Vaboolal forward, UNPROMOTED SOUNDS (often abbreviated to “UnPS”) was built for a greater purpose: to engage, equip and empower independent artists to carve a path in the music industry.
Formally founded in 2022 to coincide with the release of 3VAN’s first commercial single “Set It In Motion,” UnPS primarily existed for the same reason as EV3 for the first 3 years of 3VAN’s solo career, and offered nothing more than a formal title to back his releases. However, after a massive scaling up of operations at the start of 2025 to match the release of 3VAN’s EP “Sounds Of My Testimony, Vol. I” and closer work with other professional organizations like Cash Money Records. Studio Starpop, RadioPushers and Very Rare Cinema, 3VAN saw it fit to begin shaping UnPS into a formal for-profit organization with the intention of guiding other artists through the infancy stage of their career. Our Present
Entering into 2026, UnPS is focused on continuing to scale up to reach artists and creatives who can benefit from its experience. As we continue to build more important bonds and collaborations with artists and organizations alike, this takes the form of mentorship calls, mastermind gatherings and both short and long-form content creation. As the founder and owner of the organization, 3VAN is committed to keep serving and meeting artists where they are in order to quickly and safely transition them into the next growth phase of their career. For those who cannot afford to be mentored by large labels and go to school for musical arts, UnPS steps in to fill this gap by offering 1-on-1 mentorship and condensed and descriptive artist development guides, presenting knowledge on both the art and business sides of nurturing a successful and profitable music career.
