Our Founder: yourman3VAN

Beginning his career formally as a producer in 2015 under the name “Vaboolal,” Evan “yourman3VAN” Baboolal struggled to gain any serious career momentum until releasing his own compositions in 2017 and building EV3 Music Group. Consistent releases would help in cultivating a larger viewer base up to the success of more beat releases in 2018, with one of them peaking at 10K views in 1 week. Vaboolal would step back from commercial production that same year to work with a friend and beginning production for their first project. After 3 years of sustained work with no major breakthroughs in terms of progress, Evan made the choice to step out of his comfort zone and release his first song as a solo artist, abandoning the “Vaboolal” alias and adopting “3VAN” to drop “Set It In Motion.” He scaled up quickly from there, as the song secured around 2,000 first-week streams with very little promotion. It was enough to catch the eyes of Cash Money Records-affiliate AMAG Collective (now EA Talent) as 3VAN entered their development program at the top of 2023.

3VAN spent roughly 8 months under their mentorship, but after being offered a more investment-heavy deal in August 2023, he made the decision to set out on his own once again. As 3VAN began to craft his debut album, things began to spiral out of control after the project with his close friend fell apart. Alone and without direction, 3VAN did the only thing he could do: work. Putting his head down, continuing to learn and record, 3VAN released a single titled “Observe” in 2024 to propel himself back into the game. Shortly after this release, 3VAN would make a connection with frequent collaborator and ministry partner Anthony Lee Jr. while serving at a church in his hometown. Serving as his go-to producer, engineer and feature, 3VAN was inspired to go all-in, building both his career and UNPROMOTED SOUNDS to give artists a platform and network to plant their own seeds in the music industry. After appearing in several shows and events across Ontario and in New York State, 3VAN changed his name to “yourman3VAN” to solidify his brand and presence.
